Yorba Linda, Orange County
Richard Nixon was born in Yorba Linda on January 9, 1913, in a small frame house his father built from a kit. The house still stands on its original spot, now part of the presidential library that opened beside it in 1990. Nixon and his wife, Pat, are buried in the garden a few steps from the front door.
